Typology is a collection of lichthofs of houses in Budapest. By showing a wide selection of a mundane object the work provides significance to it and makes the dark vertical corridors visible. The name lichthof suggests that it is to provide light to dark areas, however we never see where this light comes from and strangely enough they are the darkest parts of a house due to the height and the narrow space. In Hungary lichthofs are mostly use to let air come into small rooms eg. kitchen or bathroom. Typology is built up on the contradiction between simultaneously being dark and giving light, conveyed through a black and white, abstract-like composition.
